MediaTek has introduced a new processor Dimensity 900. It is assembled using 6-nanometer technology and is designed for inexpensive smartphones with characteristics close to the flagship.
The Dimensity 900 single-chip system consists of two ARM Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.4 GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 cores up to 2 GHz, a Mali-G68 MC4 video chip, a third generation AI processor and a memory controller with support LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1. The Dimensity 900 also has a built-in 5G New Radio (NR) modem with an operating range of up to 6 GHz, carrier aggregation, bandwidth up to 120 MHz and support for simultaneous operation of two SIM cards in standby mode. Provides 2 × 2 MIMO Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. The image processor MediaTek Imagiq 5.0 supports four cameras with a maximum resolution of the final image of 108 megapixels and rendering at resolutions up to 4K in HDR mode.
The first smartphones with Dimensity 900 will be on sale by the middle of the year. First of all, they will be produced by Chinese brands.
