Another database with personal information of Brazilians is for sale on the internet. Now the material available in a forum for hackers reveals data such as social security number, cell phone number, gender, email and date of birth for more than 223 million people. The user who made the database available asked for 0.3 bitcoin (about R $ 94 thousand).
According to the publication, the hollow base is the Saves time, project of the government of São Paulo for issuing documents. The hacker still offers a free base with 10 million records as a “proof” of the content.

It is not yet known if the source of the data is actually from the state program, but it has been verified that the leaked information is true. The head of Poupatempo, Prodesp, said in a statement that the company adopts strict controls and rules for accessing its data system. “The service is monitored 24 hours a day in real time by the IT teams. In more than five decades, and countless daily attempts, there has never been a data leak at Prodesp,” he says.
The information available in the database can be cross-referenced and used to identify other customer data, who may be the victim of scams and scams. Therefore, the LGPD requires all companies to notify customers in case of leaks, to change passwords or logins.
