A new version of LineageOS custom firmware has been released – 18.1. It is based on Android 11 and is compatible with 60 models of smartphones and tablets, including very old ones:

Many of these devices are very old. Manufacturers have long stopped releasing updates for them, and installing LineageOS is almost the only way to keep them up to date. Android 11 is the most recent release version of Android yet, it was released in 2020 and receives security patches every month.

Parts of these devices were already available with LineageOS 17 firmware based on Android 10, and now they can be updated to LineageOS 18.1… Installation requires custom recovery and a computer with downloaded firmware. If you have no experience with flashing devices, it is better not to risk it and turn to a knowledgeable person to help you update your “old man”.
