Android apps are now officially available on Windows 11

Microsoft released a new test build of Windows 11. The most important innovation is support for launching applications and games created for Android.

This feature is available in a fresh build of Windows 11 released in the Beta channel for members of the Windows Insider program. Currently, only US residents can take part in testing this innovation, it is not yet available in other countries.

Android apps and games are available from the Amazon Appstore, which is integrated into the Microsoft Store. Each project hosted in the Amazon Appstore has a separate page with descriptions, screenshots and other information. You can also leave reviews there. There are not many applications and games yet, but they have all been adapted for use on computers with Intel, AMD and Qualcomm processors. Some Android apps are not available from the Amazon Appstore, but directly from the Microsoft Store.

Android applications in Windows 11 can be used like regular programs, that is, run them in full screen or in miniature windows, scale windows, place them anywhere on the screen, minimize to the taskbar and pin to this panel or to the Start menu for quick launch, switch using the hot keyboard shortcut Alt + Tab, add to different desktops.
