Apple has been working on a new system for recently this new technology will help determine when the iPhone will run out of power. A patent application for the new technology from Apple was filed with the US Patent & Trademark Office and was awarded earlier this week.
According to a 9To5Mac report, the Cupertino-based giant has patented a new system that can alert iPhone users when their device is expected to run out. The patent is titled a smart suggestion for collecting notifications.
In other words, rather than helping to save battery life like most other iOS features do, this new system was solely created to let users know how the iPhone battery will last all day, which will be used for the use of their latest device.
Currently, Apple users are only informed that the battery is low, after the device only has about 20 percent remaining power. So, this new system will make notifications much more useful thanks to the personalized. The company even gave instances where users might forget to charge their iPhone overnight and would receive a notification before leaving for work the next morning. For Mac users, a similar feature is available, with macOS showing the user an estimate of the remaining battery life. However, the patent details a more complex system, as it would also identify user behavior on different days of the week to customize the battery alerts for each day accordingly.
Apart from that, it will also function based on the user’s location, although, the company insists that the data will be processed and stored locally to maintain user privacy.
