Battlefield 6 which carries the shooter genre is rumored not to be available on consoles PS4 or Xbox One.
The rumors were reported by Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker, who had previously leaked information about the setting Battlefield 6 which is a little futuristic.
There was no official confirmation from publisher Electronic Arts (EA), but Henderson stated that he had not heard any information about the game.
“I still have not heard concrete news that #BATTLEFIELD will be present on the previous generation of consoles,” Henderson wrote via Twitter account @_Tom_Henderson_ on April 16.
Given that Battlefield 6 will be released at the end of this year, the publisher should have disclosed a little information if the game is present on the previous generation consoles.
Henderson speculates that the reason behind the absence of Battlefield 6 on PS4 and Xbox One is likely to increase the number of players on the Xbox Game Pass on the first day of launch.
Reporting from Games Radar on Saturday (17/4/2021), although this is only Henderson’s conjecture, it makes sense from the EA developer’s perspective.
This rumor is in line with previous statements made by the DICE and EA developers.
When the first hints in Battlefield 6 came into sight last year, the game’s developers stated that a next Battlefield game was in the works and that the game was targeting new innovations that the next generation platform would enable.
