SamMobile quoted @hwangmh01’s Twitter revelation that although Samsung Galaxy Z Flip was released not long ago, the company was already developing three new folding screens scheduled to be launched in 2021. Their models are Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Fold S, and Z Fold Lite, which are intended to cover different price ranges. Among them, Z Fold S will adopt an outward folding mechanism, which is particularly unique among competing models.
In addition, Galaxy Z Fold 3 will come with an S Pen stylus, which is relatively more expensive. The Galaxy Z Fold Lite will switch to a plastic body to further reduce the price barrier for consumers to start a folding screen smartphone.
Interestingly, Samsung also plans to use CPI flexible materials on the Galaxy Z Fold Lite. As for whether it can avoid the problems encountered by the first-generation Galaxy Fold again, it still needs time to test.
