Audio streaming platform Clubhouse began rolling out beta trials for the Android version.
In their blog, Clubhouse announced that the app for Android is currently limited to testing to a handful of users who they call “friendly tester“.
“We can’t wait to welcome more Android users to Clubhouse in the next few weeks,” wrote Clubhouse, quoted from Antara, Wednesday (5/5/2021).
Clubhouse is currently only available on the iOS operating system. The exclusive impression is increasingly felt because to register, users need to get an invitation from friends who have used the application as a reference.
It is not yet known whether the Android version of Clubhouse will use the same reference system as the current one.
Clubhouse also has not explained exactly when the Android version of the application will launch. This platform has been launched since last year, increasing its popularity after being used by celebrities in the technology world such as Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.
Soon after its appearance, other social media started developing features streaming audio to keep pace with the popularity of podcasts. Facebook recently announced audio-based features including Soundbites and podcasts, while Twitter first came with Spaces.
