Realme promised a Snapdragon 888 powered flagship, and this week the brand granted it, through Realme GT 5G. The smartphone comes with superior hardware, fast charging, and even has a 3.5mm audio jack.
Realme GT features a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD + resolution. The screen supports 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate with five different settings depending on user preferences.
The Snapdragon 888 has 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM along with 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. There’s no microSD slot for expansion, but the card slot holds two nano-SIM cards.
The Realme GT 5G has three cameras on the back, consisting of a 64MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide unit in addition to a 2MP macro camera. The selfie camera has a resolution of 16MP and is in a hole in the top left corner.
Since Realme GT has a flagship-level chipset, it has EIS and can easily shoot 4K / 60fps videos, while slow-mo support goes back to 720p / 480 fps.
The GT battery is 4,500mAh with 65W fast charging via cable, but there is no support for wireless charging.
Users get the latest Bluetooth 5.2 as well as all support for Wi-Fi standards up to 6e. Dolby Atmos tuned sound settings include a speaker cone below and an earpiece that doubles up as an additional stereo requirement.
Realme GT runs Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 and comes with the latest HyperBoost 4.0 package to allocate as many resources as possible for gaming when you need extra performance.
Realme GT 5G comes in three colors: Galactic Silver, Deep Sea Blue, and Dawn Yellow. Only the first two options are available in the basic 8 / 128GB RAM storage configuration at a price of CNY2,799 or the equivalent of IDR 6.2 million. The 12 / 256GB RAM variant has a three-color option at a price of CNY3,299 or around IDR 7.3 million.
The first sale will take place in China this week. There is no word yet when the Realme GT will be present in the global market.
