Geekbench Reveals Dimensity 9000 Is A True A15 Bionic Rival, Why?

Due to the perpetual competition between Mediatek and Qualcomm after releasing a new chipset, Geekbench says the Dimensity 9000 will be a competitor to the Apple Bionic A15.

MediaTek is making progress and this could worry major chipmakers. Due to seeing the Geekbench Dimensity 9000 score posted on Twitter by a famous leaker Ice Universe.

The chipset, which was Announced in November 2021, is the most powerful product ever from Mediatek built with TSMC’s 4nm fabrication.

Because the Dimensity 9000 seems to give it an edge over Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Samsung Exynos 2200.

But both are based on Samsung’s 4nm process, which also uses Arm’s new v9 architecture.

So far, only two smartphones have been released powered by Dimensity 9000, namely Oppo Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition and Redmi K50 Pro Plus.

Therefore, it is not clear how the quality of the premium processor from Dimensity has been revealed.

But Ice Universe has shared its Geekbench scores. This is apparently a Xiaomi device, probably a Redmi K50 Pro Plus.

It has earned 1,309 points in the single-core test and 4,546 points in the multi-core test.

With that result Dimensity is no longer on the same level as Qualcomm, it will become a true rival to the A15.

So from the Dimensity Score of 9000 Geekbench is ahead of the big competitors.

as the Exynos 2200-powered Galaxy S22 Ultra got 1,157 and 3,307 points in both single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The Tensor on the Pixel 6 Pro scored 1,042 and 2,832 in the same test.

The only chip that still outperforms the Dimensity 9000 is Apple’s A15 Bionic. The iPhone 13 Pro Max, which uses the chip, reaches 1,734 single-core and 4,818 multi-core, respectively.

So, based on this score, the Dimensity 9000 will soon become an OEM favorite.

It also appears to be cheaper than Qualcomm’s premium Snapdragon 8 series processors, which are usually Android vendors’ top choice.
