Google has added a new feature in the Digital Wellbeing application, which helps users to pay more attention to their surroundings when operating smartphones outdoors.
This feature is called Heads Up and has been rolled out to select devices and users. These selected users have previously been registered in the Beta program.
The presence of this new feature helps protect users from potential dangers that may be around, because you are engrossed in using a smartphone.
The Heads Up feature requires location access to operate optimally. Users also have to manually enable this new feature.
This application works by giving notifications to users with words, such as caution or alert, as well as several other warnings that alert potential dangerous.
As reported by Gizmochina, some devices that can already enjoy this feature in beta are the Google Pixel 4a and Google Pixel 5.
It is hoped that this new feature will add a layer of security to users, who often use smartphones without caring about the surrounding conditions.
It is not yet known when Google will add this feature to all Android smartphones. It is possible that this feature will be presented at the same time as the release of the latest version of the Android operating system.
