A new feature has appeared in Telegram – the transfer of correspondence from other messengers. At the start, the import of chats from WhatsApp, Line, and KakaoTalk is supported. This feature is available on iOS and Android and coming soon on other supported platforms.
How to transfer chat from WhatsApp to Telegram :
Open WhatsApp, find the chat you want, swipe it to the left, click the More menu and select the Export Chat option. A pop-up window for data transfer will appear, where there is also Telegram – click on the icon of this messenger. In Telegram, select the contact with whom the correspondence will be transferred to the chat. The rules for transferring correspondence differ depending on the type of chat. To import a group chat, you must be the administrator of that chat, and to import a private chat, your chat partner must first add you to their contacts. After successful import, a congratulation window will appear. The imported message is added to the imported messages. You will not be able to go to the profile of the user who left the imported message for the obvious reason – this profile remained in WhatsApp.
