After the release of updates to iOS 15, analyst company Mixpanel has collected information on the number of iPhone owners who have updated the firmware. Based on the data obtained, the popularity of the new operating system was lower than last year.
It is reported that in the early days, only 9.28% of iPhone owners downloaded the update. This is much lower than the 14.5% in the same period last year.
Experts assume that users do not see the need to upgrade to a new version of the OS for two reasons. First, the new firmware version may contain bugs and bugs. And secondly, Apple announced that it will support iOS 14 after the release of iOS 15. How long Cupertinos will offer simultaneous support for two platforms is not known.
