Last July, OnePlus unveiled the Y-series smart TVs. Now, more than 10 months later, the company is looking to expand the series with a new device called the OnePlus TV 40Y1. The Chinese company has confirmed that the TV will be unveiled on May 24.
The only key difference between the new device and the existing models of the series will be the 40-inch matrix. Recall that the existing OnePlus TV 32Y1 and 43Y1 have screens with a diagonal of 32 and 43 inches, respectively. As for the display of the new TV itself, it is reported that it will be a Full HD LCD panel with LED backlighting. The matrix will provide 93% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and will occupy 93% of the front panel of the TV.
OnePlus TV 40Y1 will be based on a yet unknown 64-bit chipset, working in conjunction with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. The operating system will be used by the order of the outdated Android 9. However, the TV will support all major streaming services. The device will be able to find a common language with the user thanks to the support of the Amazon Alexa voice assistant.
In terms of interfaces, the OnePlus TV 40Y1 will offer users single-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. Among the physical ports, it is worth noting the presence of two HDMI connectors, two USB ports, Ethernet, composite AV connector and optical digital audio output. The TV will be equipped with two 10-watt speakers with Dolby Audio support, and a remote with support for voice control will be included in the package.
It is estimated that the cost of the new device will range from $ 275 to $ 315.
