Nvidia LHR Protection Unlocked : Full Crypto Mining Now Possible

The NiceHash mining pool has announced the release of a utility that completely bypasses the protection of Nvidia video cards. This was reported on the official website of the project.

According to the source, the latest version of the NiceHash QuickMiner miner has learned to 100% bypass Nvidia’s LHR mining protection. This means that miners will now use 100% of the resources of their hardware and, as a result, 100% of the income from the video card. Previously, it was only possible to bypass protection by 75%.

At the moment, almost all Nvidia GeForce 3000-series video cards are supported. The exceptions are the 3050 and 3080 models with 12 GB of memory. At the same time, the developers note that 100% removal of protection only works with NiceHash software – that is, it will not work to “unlock” the video card and mine using another utility. Also, for now, Full Power Unlock only works on Windows – macOS and Linux are not supported.

By default, an “unlocked” video card will use NiceHash QuickMiner to mine Ethereum and immediately convert it to Bitcoin. Coins will be accumulated locally, and upon reaching the amount of 0.00001 BTC, they will fly to your crypto wallet.

Since this news potentially promises up to +25% in miner income, it is quite possible that the price of video cards will increase in the near future.

Earlier, we said that the crypto market continues to sag abnormally. At the moment, most tokens have fallen in price even more: Bitcoin last night reached almost $34 thousand, and Ethereum – up to $2.5 thousand. Other cryptocurrencies fell even more seriously.
