OnePlus is working on SmartTag to compete with Samsung and Apple's AirTag

Product tracking devices are currently a new craze in the technology world. Moreover, the forgetful nature that is often owned by most people who are busy with daily activities. After Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag and Apple’s AirTag gained success, it now seems that OnePlus is also preparing to compete with the two by presenting its first SmartTag.

The OnePlus SmartTag is allegedly going to be given the name “OnePlusTag” which has been secretly registered on one of the new trademark registration platforms by OnePlus’ parent company, Beijing Intangible Technology Co., Ltd.

The OnePlus parent company has applied for the new trademark since May 18, 2021 with Registration number 56159145. The launch date of the OnePlus SmartTag product is still hidden, but it looks like it will be here soon.

Along with OnePlusTag, OnePlus is also reportedly working on a new project powered by Blockchain. This was found through several surveys conducted by OnePlus. Regarding the project, unfortunately, it is still unknown.

Just a reminder, in the near future, on June 10, 2021, OnePlus will launch the latest smartphone, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. It is said that the new phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC, along with 8GB of RAM, and a triple camera setup on the back.

Another recent leak also revealed that the Nord CE 5G will sport a punch-hole AMOLED display that produces FHD + resolution and a high refresh rate of 90Hz. Regarding security, it will display an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Regarding other detailed specifications, we’ll just have to wait for the launch next week.
