Russia to deploy a psychodiagnostic system on Social Media

FSBI Institute for System Programming named after VP Ivannikov ”, by order of the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation, announced a tender for 36 million rubles. He is going to order a system that will analyze the profiles of users of social networks.

The analysis will be carried out by artificial intelligence using a psychodiagnostic system. This technology should help law enforcement agencies identify persons involved in illegal activities (extremism, terrorism, mass shooters, suicide bombers, etc.)

It is possible that social networks will provide algorithms with open access to profiles that are closed to outsiders. Interviewed “Kommersant” experts believe that such collection of information is contrary to legislation on the protection of personal data.

Social networks are already being monitored by several Russian departments. For example, Roszdravnadzor detects active antivaxers – persons who disseminate false information about coronavirus and vaccines. Information about anti-axers is transmitted to the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the prosecutor’s office.
