Samsung Blockchain Wallet supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON and ERC-20 and TRC-20 tokens and can connect to cold storage of digital assets
Samsung announced plans to implement the Samsung Blockchain Wallet in most Galaxy devices. Galaxy smartphones will also be able to connect to cold wallets like Ledger Nano S, Ledger Nano X and others.
Samsung Blockchain Wallet already supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON and ERC-20 and TRC-20 tokens. The wallet will only be available on devices running Android 9.0 or higher.
To store user data, Samsung has developed Knox technology, which stores keys encrypted in an area isolated from the main operating system. All user information is additionally protected by a secure processor and can only be accessed by entering a PIN or fingerprint.
A cryptocurrency news feed will be built into the blockchain wallet.
Samsung has previously built a blockchain wallet into smartphones, but only in the Galaxy S20. To provide the opportunity to trade cryptocurrencies, the company concluded partnership agreement with Gemini crypto exchange.
