The new Xperia 1 III smartphone from Sony launched last month using the first telephoto periscope lens with variable focus. The telephoto periscope lens will also be used by the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra which will be released next year, with four focus zooms available for photos and videos, 16mm, 24mm, 70mm, and 105mm.
Confidential ZACKBUKS posted some pictures on Weibo via GSMArena which he claims are examples of photos taken with the camera setup on the back of the Xperia 1 III. Unfortunately, the EXIF data has been deleted.
But people who want to know the results of the Sony Xperia 1 III camera photos with 24mm focus, 70mm zoom 2.9x and 105mm zoom 4.4x can see the results of these images.

The Xperia 1 III will be equipped with a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED panel with a tall, thin 21: 9 aspect ratio, perfect for streaming motion pictures. The fast 120Hz refresh rate means the screen is updated 120 times per second allowing smooth scrolling and improved video game animations. The Xperia 1 III uses a 5nm Snapdragon 888 SoC chipset, and the camera array on the back consists of three sensors and a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor.
Using a 4500mAh battery capacity this device has a fast 30W charger which will let you charge half of it in 30 minutes. The phone will be offered in Frosted Black and Frosted Purple and will ship to the states later this summer with Android 11. The handset will come with 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage.
Last month, Sony actually reported its first quarterly profit in years for its phone business. The company has discussed amputating the unit after years of unsatisfactory results, but there appears to be a turnaround in the making.
