The social network VKontakte has launched its own mail service VK Mail (or VK Mail). Its first users will get the most trump addresses in the @ vk.com domain.
You can register a mailbox on the website “In contact with“Or in the mobile application in the” Services “tab ->” VK Mail “. You can use mail in mobile applications at Android and iOS (the web interface has not been launched yet, but it will most likely appear later). To log in, you need a VKontakte account with authorization via VK Connect.
In honor of the launch of this mail service, the social network is distributing stickers “Letter carrier Izamu”. To get them, you need to write to the bot “VK app“- it will issue a set in parts (the first few pieces just like that, and the next for completing tasks in the VK Mail application).
VK Mail was created based on the Mail.ru mail application. Emails are automatically sorted into categories depending on the sender, the entrance to the application can be protected with a PIN or biometrics, and files up to 2 GB in size can be attached to emails. Dark theme is supported.
Within 30 days from the launch of the service, VKontakte users have the opportunity to register a postal address corresponding to their address on the social network. If you do not do this, after the specified time, the address may be occupied by someone else.
It is noteworthy that ten years ago (under Pavel Durov), the VKontakte leadership considered e-mail a relic of the past and set out to eradicate it. Somewhere we turned the wrong way.
