Here are the new features of Windows 11
Finally, Microsoft officially released Windows 11. Tonight (24/6), this new operating system is here to replace Windows 10 which is 6 years old. Every computer that already has Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7 can immediately update to Windows 11 this.
Are you interested in updating to Windows 11? Here are some important and new changes in Windows 11.
A fresh look is seen from the semi-transparent Widget window
The changes may not be very noticeable, however Windows 11 appear fresher. Changes occur in the now curved corner of the window (rounded corner); not square like Windows before.
Microsoft also claims, they pay attention to natural lighting, including the semi-translucent window (translucent layer) that appears on the Widget. You can also change the appearance of Windows to dark mode, while still highlighting icons and menus.
Start button moves to the middle
The Windows button is now in the middle, one of which is possible to accommodate the use of large screens
The most noticeable change is probably the Start button. Its position is now in the middle, no longer on the left side as it used to be (but there is an option to “return” to the left if you want).
When the Start button is clicked, you will no longer find the Live Tile like in Windows 10. Instead, a collection of the last applications and documents you opened will appear. You can also pin (pin) your favorite apps and files on the menu button.
You can choose various options to display 2-4 windows simultaneously on the screen
If you usually work with multiple windows at the same time, Windows 11 has a Snap Layout feature. This feature has several options to display 2-4 windows according to your taste.
Vertical Tab on Edge Browser
Edge as the default Windows browser also gets a new feature in the form of Vertical Tab. So tabs can be arranged vertically; not horizontal as usual so far.
More tablet friendly
Windows 11 designed for a wide range of computers, including touch screen tablets or notebooks. Because of this, many features were introduced so that Windows 11 still good to use for tablet PC users.
For example, when the detachable keyboard is removed from the tablet PC, the icons and menus will automatically change to a slightly larger size. That way, it’s easier for users to operate it with their fingers or a stylus.
New concept of Windows Store
Since Windows 10, Microsoft introduced the Windows Store as the official platform for developers to distribute their applications. But just like the Apple Apps Store, there will be a discount on transactions that occur in the Windows Store on Windows 11, Microsoft showed in the demo, an example of how the Disney application can sell its films through the Windows Store, without being subject to any discount. This is of course a more profitable business model for developers than the Apple Apps Store.
Supports Android applications
Want to see Tiktok, Instagram, or Twitter on Windows 11? Can!
The concept of an open Windows Store can also be used to peddle Android applications. In the demo, it is shown how the Amazon Appstore has also entered the Windows Store on Windows 11. So if you just install the Amazon Appstore application, install (or buy) the Android application there, and the Android application can be run on Windows 11.
In the demo, it is shown how the Tiktok application runs smoothly on the Internet Windows 11.
What’s interesting is, the Appstore shown is owned by Amazon; not Google. But if Google can eliminate the prestige of competition between platforms, they could also enter the Windows Store.
