Xiaomi has just made official the long-awaited renewal of one of its most popular series: Redmi Note. After the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T, we have digit change in Redmi Note 10 series, of which the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro corresponds to the most complete model.
But how complete is this Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro? To find out, we compare it against other smartphones in a similar price range and features: Realme 7 Pro, OPPO A73 5G, OnePlus Nord N10, Samsung Galaxy A42 5G, Google Pixel 4a.
The stigma of being 4G in 2021
Last year, no one would have asked Redmi to include 5G in its Redmi Note series because, unlike in China, where the Redmi K series exists, global models correspond to mid-range models, adjusted price and interesting features. Nevertheless, In 2021 the 5G is already extended to all ranges, having even reached the Redmi Note. But not this one: Redmi Note 9T.
Thus, curiously the “Pro” model of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 keeps the connectivity of the previous generation, when mounting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G. This processor was released in the POCO X3 NFC last year, a mobile also from the house that, as we will see in the comparison, has several points in common with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro.
In our comparison, the terminals are grouped into the two sides– OPPO A73, Samsung Galaxy A42 and Oneplus N10 are 5G, while the rest are 4G. It wins, narrowly, 4G connectivity like that of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, although it must be borne in mind that the rest of the terminals that we have compared have been on the market for some time.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T was 5G, but the Redmi Note 10 Pro stays at 4G, which is less and less common
Of course, for once we have full in mounting Qualcomm: all include a 6 or 7 series Snapdragon, with no Exynos or MediaTek in sight. In terms of RAM and storage, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is average, with 6 and 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Many hertz, please
Something that Xiaomi has updated on the Redmi Note 10 Pro is on the screen. We have an AMOLED and Full HD + panel that carries the refresh rate at 120 Hz and the tactile response rate at 240 Hz. Except for exceptions that are counted with the fingers, 120 Hz is still the biggest refreshment on the mobile screen even in the high-end, so little more can be asked. Other terminals that also raise the refreshment are the POCO X3 (120 Hz) and OPPO A73 5G and OnePlus N10 (90 Hz).
OLED and LCD are equally distributed among the competition, with slight differences in millimeters up or down about 6.5 inches diagonal, as are the 6.67 “of the Redmi Note 10 Pro. If we omit the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G, which has a screen with HD + resolution, at least everyone agrees to incorporate Full HD panels.
More megapixels than anyone
Xiaomi is one of the companies that is taking the most juice out of Samsung’s 108 megapixel sensors. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is by no means the first to incorporate it, but it still remains a relatively difficult sensor to find in its price range, at least in other brands. Of the terminals in our comparison, nobody incorporates it except the Redmi Note 10 Pro, the closest being the 64 MP that the cameras of Realme, OnePlus and POCO have.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is not the first mobile with 108 megapixels, but it is one of the few in its price range
Beyond the hard and fast resolution, the Redmi Note 10 Pro has a Quad combination with wide angle, tele / macro and bokeh which does not differ much from those raised by Realme, OnePlus, Samsung or POCO. The Google Pixel 4a, with its simple camera is obviously the “weirdo” of the bunch once again.
In front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro mounts a 16-megapixel camera perforated on the screen, in the middle. Except for the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G and its notch, all the terminals in the comparison choose to incorporate the perforated front camera on the screen.
Lots of battery
One aspect that is becoming characteristic of the Redmi Note series is incorporating a large battery. It is 5,020 mAh capacity, practically the same as the POCO X3 and slightly higher than the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G, which mounts 5,000 mAh. The rest is somewhat further away, with the 3,140 mAh of the Google Pixel 4a or the 4,040 mAh of the OPPO A73 5G.
If in total capacity, the Redmi Note 10 Pro takes the gold, in fast charging it must settle for silver. The 33W fast charge (again, equal to that of the POCO X3) is above that of Samsung, Google and OPPO, although tastes less when compared to 65W load of the Realme 7 Pro.
Comparison chart
As always, we leave you one full comparison table with all the specifications of the terminals in our comparison, so you can see at a glance how they are alike and how they differ.
